Road Trip!

Here’s Bb 4 hours into the 16 hour door-to-door journey, when we made our first stop. We left our house at 5.55am and arrived in Calais at 10pm to a lovely little hotel, very nice welcome, warm room, parking outside the door and somewhere to eat just 3 mins walk away. What more could you want after that journey?!

We’ll be up early tomorrow again and we accepted the offer of breakfast in our room at 6.15. We need to be on the road again by 7.15 to get to the Channel Tunnel an hour before our booking. Then, all going well, a 9 hour drive to Largs.

We’re going back to help empty my mother-in-law’s flat and take a few chosen things back to Barcelona. She’s now in a home and the sale of her flat is imminent.
