Birthday meal #2

This time for my oldest (in terms of time we've known each other) friend, Maxine.  It's taken a long time to get around to it but we caught up with each other for lunch halfway-ish between our houses.  This time the excuse was Maxine's birthday and my overdue present to her of a meal treat.  

Back in the day we would often go to Soho for a Chinese meal, copious amounts of wine and stagger home.  For Maxine's 60th birthday year (2024) I'd wanted to recreate the experience, but today, nearly a year on, we settled for a more sober date, much chat, laughing and exchange of news.... that we could both remember afterwards!

It's all good.
