Forty Years Ago Today...

...Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon.

About eighteen years ago today I completed this pencil drawing of the moon's surface.

Both were quite impressive achievements.

Neil Armstrong made a very rare public appearance with this Apollo 11 crewmates to mark the anniversary. There is currently debate about whether to return to the moon as a stepping stone to Mars, or whether to shoot straight for Mars.
