Foodbank + +

We were messaged last night - could we run Foodbank today as the normal leaders on Friday mornings were not available, so we stepped in. Another very busy morning - the numbers have really picked up again, especially families needing food.
Then a trip to the recycling centre to get rid of all the cardboard. This was swiftly followed to a trip to the pet shop in town to pick up a donation of pet food. It was a  good job we had been to the tip first as there was a whole pallet of cat food. We only just managed to get it all on the car. Took that to the hub.
Then off to Portland and up toJailhouse Cafe as the sun was shining so beautifully. The photo is from the garden there - note the Bibby Stockholm’s (the barge for the refugees) has not gone - it went on Wednesday I believe.
Then to the supermarket to buy a load of squash for the foodbank. Madly we can buy it so much cheaper in person than if we order it on our bulk buy shopping. Took that to the hub.
So we finally got home from doing all the Foodbank extra jobs at about 4.30 - and we thought we had a free day!
