When a long walk day doesn't quite go to plan...
and the only thing to do is stop and get the blood sugar levels back up.
I don't use the meter as much these days as I monitor my blood sugars with a Libre device, which sends readings to my phone, but I do use it to confirm my hypo feelings. I didn't really need the confirmation today, but I can't take a photo of the Libre readings...
For some strange reason I cannot stand the taste of full sugar Coke when my blood sugars are in range, or high, but it's both tasteless and effective when they are low and I need to get them back up before carrying on with the walk.
When it got to the second time within two hours, I decided calling it quits, and went home to watch the Six Nations where the results were far more satisfying than my A-Z walking results.
