...The Useless Staircase...
The door which was once at the top of the staircase connected Bristol City Museum to The Will's Building. Apparently it was used by students to steal "Alfred", the gorilla, in 1956. More about Alfred's story on Wiki : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_the_Gorilla
