Day out

We went to Canterbury to visit Graham’s mum in her nursing home. She was 92 yesterday so we had a bit of a birthday celebration. It’s a bit of a long journey from Southampton. My blip is at the half way point waiting for the train to Canterbury from Waterloo East. You can see one of London’s landmarks in the background (The Shard). We stopped off at Ashford on the way back to have something to eat and a quick dash round the shopping outlet. Ashford International station is redundant now, more or less, now that Eurostar no longer stops there. The station concourse is strange, it looks like the set of a film waiting for people to arrive, see extra.
