The last dance

Last night I played for a ceilidh at Wrexham with Band 1.  It takes about half an hour to get there but I got lost trying to find the venue that it took me an hour.  The satnav didn't take me to the right road and asking people sent me to the wrong hall.  I had to phone a band member for better directions.  Travelling alone in the dark in unknown places is very stressful and the only bit that I don't enjoy about playing in bands!

The ceilidh itself was a brilliant night.  It was in aid of the Welsh Eisteddfod and the raffle was in Welsh before being translated into English.  A young man came and asked if he could call a traditional Welsh circle dance which he did and that went down really well.

The hall was filled with dancers all night which was great to see.  Often people start to go home towards the end but not last night as you can see from the last dance when we had to have a double circle to be able to do the dance.

A great evening!
