Sometimes..

Sometimes the first thing you see in the morning can set the mood of the day. This is what I saw and still feel bright and happy , the image returning to me constantly. It is very cold out.. but sunny which makes all the difference. We had a lateish breakfast.. we had thought about heading out for brunch but the thought of a poached egg on a muffin with a few trims costing upwards of £15 put us off and so we had the poached egg at home instead. We then spent a happy time together achieving a rose tidy up. I have planted (two years ago) a new climbing rose for the north wall of the shed and somehow it had decided to grow vertically about 15 feet in the air and no one had tied it in so today we managed to get it out from behind the wiring and lay it down and tie it in.. here's hoping I haven't pruned too much off it and that it will actually develop some flowering shoots along the horizontals.
Then I have sorted the plastic flower pots.. I seem to keep so many and so have sorted through them ruthlessly and re boxed the useful ones. We have swept up the leaves that have gathered around the bins and oil tank and it all looks more organised... also found another two slates from the neighbours roof that had fallen and smashed in that area.
only 4C .. chilly so I am now thawing out inside with cups of tea before heading out once more to complete the reorganising for today
