An ordinary life....

Book nook...

Agnes and Adrian were at ours just after midday.

Packed up the food we were taking with us then we headed to the golf club for lunch.  D and I had the most delicious venison pie.

Headed off to the holiday cottage just north of Forfar.  We arrived just over an hour later and it was still daylight.  Yay!  :D  Now it's February it's great to be able to say the clocks go forward next month :-))

Agnes and Adrian arrived about twenty minutes after us looking a bit harassed and saying what a journey that was!!!  Turns out their sat nav took them off the main road miles back and brought them here via a very winding, narrow farm road that was very stressful to drive!  Oh how we laughed (us not them :-))

Ian, the owner of the cottage (and who loves just along the driveway) popped in to check we were happy with everything and to say let him know if we need anything.  We were able to tell him we are more than happy with the cottage.  It's absolutely stunning and so spacious.  Every comfort has been thought of.

Once unpacked we relaxed with wine and nibbles (no need for dinner after our filling lunch) and almost passed out laughing at Agnes trying to get Alexa to play music.  OMG! Alexa just wasn't responding to her so Agnes got louder and more indignant with every request! It reminded me of this sketch :-)))

Eventually after a stern talking to from D,  Alexa relented and played us some 80s pop, which we all sang along to whilst reminiscing about long past holidays, as only people who've been friends for over 40 years can :-)

A good start to our holiday.

Oh and my blip is of the little book nook between our bedroom and the ensuite.  A cosy little corner to retreat to should one feel the need :D
