Coming Home . . .
. . . from Exeter where several members of the Barnstaple camera Club attended the Western Counties Print and Digital Images competition.
We'd arrived early so went and found breakfast - traditionally in The "M" shop which is one of the few open at that time on a Sunday!
The competition began with the digital images of the prints; wonderful collection from al the clubs who'd entered and BCC came a very acceptable 3rd, behind the 'big clubs' Dorchester and Bristol who both have about 3 x our membership. We were so delighted.
After lunch we had the digital image section and totted up our scores...it was the highest it has ever been so we were delighted, amazed, astounded and gob smacked to find that our small club had come top. We won the Trophy! We weren't very quiet with our excitement I have to say.....
Sadly I had no pictures selected for the competition. We have some new members whose Nature work is astoundingly good so a couple of us who used to get selected will have to up our game - but it was good to go and support the Club, meet other club's members and just have a good day out.
Exhausted after all the prize giving we headed home and this is a bridge over the M5 with a cyclist on it! The only photo I took today.
Home now and going to have an early night - it was an early start for me.....
