Bonxie

This is a Bonxie, a Great Skua. One of my favourite birds. It's eating what might be a dead juvenile gull. They are the great survivors. The name Bonxie is a Shetland name, and Skua is a Faroese word. Americans (I believe) call them Jaeger, a German word for hunter.
