I spent the afternoon pottering around Tong Park, seeing what the sunshine had brought out. The butterflies were out in numbers: quantities of Peacock, Meadow Brown, Small Skipper, Small Copper, Small Tortoiseshell, Comma, Speckled Wood, Gatekeeper all the usual whites and a solitary Holly Blue. I saw a few dragonflies, but they all flew off before I could get a picture. The damselflies were easier to stalk though, this Common Blue among them.
