Tythe Barn
Feeling much better today. E and I met up at the Tythe Barn at Haslebury Mill for Sunday lunch. They have a great carvery and it is a place for families of all ages to meet up, it reminds me of France with grannies and grandpas sitting with their children and grandchildren at long tables. The thythe barn was built not so long ago but it is a copy of a medieval one, several of which can be found near here. No expense was spared in the building of it as the owner wanted to get it right and stone was quarried at nearby Stoke sub Hamden where there have been workings since Roman times and oak for the beams brought over from the Continent.
We of course were the last to leave so the barn is empty but shortly before that it was crammed full of people!
