Now I see it ....

I see this bike every time I walk into town. Now I think about it, I can’t remember a day when it’s not been there.  It’s locked up outside a pub in the High Street and I’ve always assumed it belongs to someone who works there - or drinks there. 

And although I see it often enough, today, for the first time, I realised that the chain is rusty.  And the more I look the more I see that other bits are rusty too (see extra).  I’ve never noticed that before. 

Apparently it's been left locked here for the past couple of years now.  I never knew that either.
