A brush with Destiny?

After a delicious lunch out with MaggieD, I settled to a little repair job. A settlement crack needed filling and subsequent painting. 
I had forgotten how many brushes I had, some unused, some quite new and a couple old, crusty and needing to be binned. I should really check over my collection of old paint tins too!
