The Bridge

Today Gina, Miles and I got the train into Portsmouth to see our old friends Kim and Beany who came down from London.

It was a stonking day, and after lunch we wandered around the harbour until we came to The Bridge... the pub you can see in this shot. We had a couple of pints and had a proper natter. It was fantastic to see them again, and Miles was covered in kisses (lucky lad!).

This shot is pretty busy (it almost feels like a 'Where's Wally'), but I liked the different layers - the fishing boats, the pub, and the sky with Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower rising up in the background.

Portsmouth is actually a pretty interesting place - as one of the seats of the British Navy under Nelson, there are a few of the classic ships (The Mary Rose, The Victory and the Warrior 1860) that are there for all to see. Would be worth another trip when we have more time I think!

Off to Weymouth tomorrow to see my Parents and Sister. We're extremely excited (Miles can't wait)!
