Seagulls
Today's the day . . . . . . . . . to blow away the cobwebs
It was a wild and windy day by the time I went for a brief walk this afternoon - along the shore of Kirkcudbright Bay.
The tide was in and the water as high as I've ever seen it. Normally this estuary of the River Dee is a calm mudflat - but today the wind was whipping up the waves to a frothy frenzy. I couldn't tell whether the seagulls were enjoying all this activity - or were screeching their annoyance - but they hung around at the water's edge until the spray forced them once more into the air.
It was exactly the sort of weather I needed, to blow away the cobwebs . . . . . . !
