Signs of Spring
I didn't flag today until late afternoon, so there is hope for me yet!
I went to Newcastle first thing for an orthopaedic appointment, only to find I was a day early. (Tomorrow's appointment has since been cancelled by the hospital!) It did mean that I was at Julie's for an early coffee and a good catch up. We know too many people who are poorly at the moment.
I drove to Hexham to see Maureen and to see if the SIM card from her old phone will fit in the new. After a lot of fiddling about, I concluded that it will not. I've sent a message to her nephew and hope he will sort it out.
The new phone is working but with a new number. Unfortunately, Maureen's speech has deteriorated so much that it is hard to understand her face to face, and no good on the phone at all.
She is supposed to be on a soft diet. Her lunch came and was left, almost out of reach, for her to feed herself. She told me that she has to feed herself, otherwise she needs to be transferred to a Nursing Home. I fed her, but I was unhappy that the food was too solid and dry for her to manage.
It was lovely to see her but I am very concerned.
Back home I took a few photos in the garden, using a more suitable lens than yesterday.
Does anyone know which plant is in my blip? I think it's a hard question. I'm pleased to see numerous buds.
I went to Margret's to search for clothes she needs, but found only one pair of trousers and no sign of the support stockings. More detective work is required.
I'm tired now, but I'm definitely recovering!
