Confusing

Spent the day polishing silver 'stuff, all but my 1954 birth or christening mug, from my parents & probably most inherited by my father. Time to off load it I think. Don't think in our modern world many young people (including myself!) want to spend time polishing the stuff regularly. 

Much of it is actually Electroplated (EPNS) but my favourite piece is probably this 1897 Biscuit Barrel which at least according to the markings is silver. However it's in three pieces and all three have slightly different markings. Only the body seems to have all  four - Maker, Sterling Silver, London & 1897. The other two pieces only have three of the markings.
