Dipper Delight...
In a bid to get fit for a walking holiday later this year, today we started on our first more strenuous walks....
We started from Ilam in the Peak District, up the side of Bunster Hill to Ilam Tops. Then along through Dovedale Wood and down to Dovedale itself via Ilam Rock. Both a steep up and down involved to this point.
Along the River Dove we spotted a pair of dippers fishing. SO out comes the camera and here we are with my first ever close-up of a dipper. I was chuffed.
The return to Ilam was relatively flat. I was really tired, so we had to stop off in the National Trust cafe for spicy cauliflower pasties to revive me... (LOL!)
As we're so close to this spot now, it was only a 15 minute drive home. There wasn't much activity from me after that...
