Tour of Perthshire

What a fantastic day! I was given a wonderful tour of Perthshire by ANewDay and we certainly fitted in a number of different places.

First stop was Loch of the Lowes nature reserve, where we saw the above red squirrel and also "Lady" the osprey - yes, it is there between the trees on the top picture, try going large! It was actually perched on the tree behind and a long distance away. We had to wait for the wind to blow and part the tree before we could get a picture!

Then on to Dunkeld and a look at the Cathedral and the River Tay followed by a nice lunch. After lunch we visited the Hermitage for a walk along the river, stopping at a wonderful waterfall. The power of the water was intense! Lots of great pictures there! Next it was Killiecrankie for a walk down to soldiers leap and then on to Queens View - the picture above. Stunning scenery all round and a wonderful tour which ended with a cream tea! Many thanks to ANewDay for a wonderful day!
