Sailor’s Gift quilt

It poured with rain this morning, giving me a chance to finish the block construction for the new quilt top. I laid all the blocks out on my bed, to get an idea of how it’s going to look. Very colourful and complex! I think when it’s all sewn together, with the additional border, it will be amazing! There’s quite a lot to do still though.
We actually sat out in the garden with a cup of tea, as there was a little late sunshine to enjoy. Plenty of birds flying around, including goldfinches and a wonderful flyby of a peregrine falcon!
