Hayfever

It’s that time of year again when my mom mentions all the pollen she sees. Hayfever season is starting with the hazelnut trees showing off their yellow rows of pollen. I have no idea what those ready to burst clumps of pollen are actually called, but in my family they are called „Höschen“ which roughly translates to „little trousers“. And no, I don’t even know why we call them that.
