Lake of Menteith

A loch near the trossachs with a little abbey ruin (?) on an island in it. Historic Scotland members get a free boat trip over I gather. Didn't manage that today (the car park gate was even chained) but another time perhaps and much earlier. The hotel/restaurant next door looks interesting so I think a plan is: up early visit Inchmaholm Abbey and snap away, back over to the shore in the boat for soup lunch, visit Aberfoyle and David Marshall Lodge for a coffee and scone later then home. Sorted!
