Tokyo skyline …

… on the way to the airport for a flight to Kushiro on the east of the island of Hokkaido.
Another beautiful morning and another view of Mount Fuji. The mountain is generally only visible from Tokyo 35 days a year (it is about 100km away) and we’ve seen it twice!
Short flight to Kushiro where they had a record snowfall yesterday. Piles of snow and icy underfoot! Views of the waterfront to the Pacific Ocean in extra. Off to see the famous cranes (Japan’s national bird) tomorrow, fingers crossed. One of the highlights of the trip.
