The Circle

Leeds Writers Circle. We meet every other Monday, more or less, with a summer break. Since I became a member seven years ago, soon acquiring the job of looking after the website, and then de facto secretary (long story), tonight's gathering was the largest we've ever had - 30 people in the circle, and requiring a hunt for extra chairs. We had some really good readings too. And over half of those people turned out to the pub afterwards. That has to be an all-time record.
