Female Chaffinch

A dry day, so another photo of a visitor to our garden.

Always arriving as part of a noisy flock, chaffinches are the commonest birds in  and around our garden.  They also sometimes provide a snack for our local sparrowhawk who views our bird feeders on occasion as a drive through fast food outlet.  A KFC for raptors if you will.
