An Unusual Perch
This kestrel was hovering around searching for prey when H and I were walking down from Muckleburgh Hill to the coast this morning. It's perched on the barrel of one of the anti-aircraft guns on display at the Muckleburgh Military Museum. The original guns placed along this area of coast were part of the WWII Weybourne Military Camp. The museum is now the largest military museum in the UK.
It was a beautifully sunny day, albeit cold, but we were well wrapped up and had our flasks of coffee with us.
The extra is the view from the top of Muckleburgh Hill looking over at Salthouse Church and beyond to Blakeney Point.
