Common Polypody

I managed to take a few photos today but decided I liked this one most. This was growing on several tree species in a small plantation by a main road. This was on a horse chestnut, and my first shot was of the upperside of the plant. I could see the spores showing through in the sunshine, so turned it over.

BrambleBlossom pointed out that epiphytes like polypody are often seen in temperate rain forests in the UK. I don't think this will qualify as one of those though.
