Got my legs ripped off
Since the three of us riding were 'good mountain bikers in reasonable shape' I decided we should go do the Mt. Falcon climb. I should have known that would come back to bike me. 1500 vertical feet in 2.4 miles. The lower section is littered with large technical features. They are spread out, and generally only one powerful move is needed to clear them. But after riding uphill, two or three powerful moves every 30 feet put me in the red. Again and again. I essentially rode that section in 0.1 mile 'sprint' intervals. J and G completely ripped my legs off by just rocketing up the climb.
