Volunteering

My first volunteering day of 2025. I drove to St Annes and parked just across from where I used to work. Christmas trees are collected from all over the north west. They are then buried in trenches by volunteers. The sand blows across the beach and builds up around the Christmas trees creating new dunes, a soft sea defence. It was hard work, the sand was very wet and very heavy. I’m going back on Friday to do some more. After that I went for a walk with L. Finally, Samba Band tonight, great fun!
