Off to walk in the Peak District again today, since the weather was going to be fine and clear... although there were a couple of showers but the wind saw them off.
I saw one couple climbing on Stanage Edge, they were crazy it was way too cold, and further along I chatted with a couple who were feeding a grey squirrel. It's not typical squirrel habitat, there are no trees, but perhaps they find enough lunch leftovers?
After I reached Stanage Pole and then the Redmires Reservoirs, the path gradually became more indistinct and then it disappeared. So I spent a couple of miles heather bashing, interspersed with boggy bits, which slowed me up a lot and I was glad of my new poles.
Forcing your way through woody heather and hummocky tufts of grass is hard work, I was glad of a hot bath when I got home.
