Sweet Blue Jay

This is a bird I know well from living in the Northeast for most of my life. It's so nice to see them here in Florida.

Mom was diagnosed by the Neurologist today as having Alzheimer's. Kathy took her to the appointment. When Steve and I came by later she asked if I had heard the news... I said yes, Kathy told me. She wasn't mad or combative, she was calm and accepting. The neurologist had told her expressly she could not drive anymore, we are so very relieved especially as mom seems to accept this now. She even repeated to me that she could not drive. One day at a time, we are all doing ok.
