Morning relaxation

We are supposed to be having an early walk, 8am, as the bins needed to be put out and rain was forecast. Poor Lottie had to be rather dragged from her (our) bed as she likes a long lie. Once outside, she was quite happy to sit and enjoy the sunrise! 

The rain did come, but only briefly and I was able to spend a couple of hours cutting back the hebe hedge. It's next door's but has become our responsibility over the years. The lass who was renting there has moved out, so it's a grand opportunity to do it before anyone else moves in.  And it should have a chance to thicken up a bit before the birds nest in it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. A pruning saw and a pair of secateurs is all it takes, sometimes!
