Take Me Away

Mist with light rain obscuring the distant view, finer details disappearing under a veil of moist air.

I liked the simplicity of this image and the calmness it portrays. Not an inviting place perhaps, but one removed from distractions, a place to escape into. The horizontal bands would seem to support the calm feeling, being static elements.

The histogram occupies barely the upper third, it was hard to resist stretching it out, but a high key approach seemed suitable.
