After the storm.

Our roof will need a bit of remedial work, but nothing imminent. Several tiles dislodged a bit, some pointing missing. Obviously, it may be worse upon closer inspection but from the ground it’s not too bad looking, certainly compared to others. Several houses nearby have more pressing needs.

We tied the fence more securely.

I finished a DIY job indoors. Afterwards we’d a walk locally around the field and along the lane; several fallen trees had been cut to provide a clear way. It was bitterly cold.

We went and checked a friend’s house. It was ok. He was quite relieved when I got in touch. St Andrews had its fair share of arborists out cutting trees etc. Some very big ones had come down at private properties and the university.

We watched Jungle Book on Disney Channel in the evening. And lit the fire.
