This wasn't meant to happen!

Today, I was going to blip something other than birds!
To that end Val and I had a lovely morning at Hopton Hall in Derbyshire where an annual snowdrop walk is promoted. It was beautiful in the warm sunlight and the cranberry flapjack at coffee time was quite outstanding!
However, I thought I would have a little walk in the pm so as not to waste the sunshine and I saw this little beauty - a lesser redpoll. Although they are apparently not rare, I have never knowingly seen one so here it is.
