Abstract of Amaryllis

Mrs W’s ‘grow light’ shining on the amaryllis last night made it look very pretty so I thought ‘abstract’ for today.  The petals were tinged with purple, but in the daylight I could not repeat the effect in what I thought was an abstractable way, so I moved the lamp closer and went ‘deep purple’.
 
It’s Friday tomorrow, so Mrs W’s amaryllis will have to compete with ‘Flowers from  M&S/Sainsburys/Tesco’.
 
At extra is a cloud formation that caught our eyes yesterday evening, and I just had to snap it.  The image is a cropped in camera pano.
 
My poor old back just does not like resting.  I had a bad night’s kip and had to get up two or three times just to loosen it up to get back to sleep.  Today I gave it plenty of exercise cleaning around the house.  Hopefully things will be better tonight.
