Following a lovely performance at a tiny Lower East Side club (The Stone) by Tirtha -- Vijay Iyer (on piano), Prasanna (on guitar), Nitin Mitta (on tabla) - fusion of jazz with Indian classical music - here are some of the transcendent faces of the audience. I do like taking photos of listeners in their state of enjoyment - so expressive!

My first New York City outing since returning from Japan. I'm not quite ready to brave the subway crowds with my ankle - so we cabbed it. I can get used to that very easily.
