Treasure island

Kara wanted to draw a treasure map. Here was the logic…

Draw an island. She called it wobbly island because the outline was wobbly.

She wanted to start with X marks the spot. It’s quite big but she’s generous like that.

Add palm trees. I told her how to draw a brown line and green leaves. She did the rest. I was quite impressed by that.

The island needs a lake and colour it in a bit to look like water.

What next? A purple dragon with angry teeth and fire. Check.

What started as sharks in the north west became mountains. ‘Where the people live, safe from the dragon’.

A red ring around the island for protection.
