Early flight...

Quite a thick frost this morning, although the sun was shining brightly from the start. I headed over to Hampton Court to snap a few chilly flowers in the Wilderness Garden. The usual suspects were all in evidence - snowdrops, aconites, crocii, cyclamens, etc, but I was absolutely amazed to spot this hoverfly doing the rounds on what looked like a hibiscus of some kind. Hopefully this augurs well for pollinating insects in the year ahead.
