Goldfinch Perched On A Yucca Flower Stalk

This pretty little bird is recently returned to the area, apparently a summer visitor. He is perched on the flower stalk on a Yucca plant. This particular flower stalk is over 10 feet (3meters) tall. It grows at an amazing rate, probably 6 inches (15cm) per day, the flower stalk not the bird!
