Occasionally I have a trip into Kendal town centre for items I can’t get locally or are worth the journey for the cost savings. The things on my list today were mostly small and light so I considered going by bus. When I saw the frost covered car this morning it seemed like the best option.

Retrospectively perhaps it wasn’t (cold bus and coughing passengers) but I did get some fabulous views over the frosted fields that I wouldn’t have seen from the car.

Most of the main street was in the shade so not good for photos. Instead here’s a uninspiring shot taken later from Kendal bus station.
