Train to London

I’ve headed south to go to an event tomorrow evening, and decided to come by train.

I got to Leeds station much earlier than needed - too long a tale to put on blip - so asked LNER staff on the platform if I could use my ticket on an earlier train. They told me to speak to the train manager, which I did, and the lovely man put me in first class! So arriving in London much earlier than expected I broke my journey to staines by popping in to Covent Garden. It’s always been a favourite of mine and it didn’t disappoint though the Jubilee market was more mass produced stuff than it used to be.

I took time to look in the Actor’s church there, and found it was a little gem. This particular memorial appealed to me.

Onward journey to Staines and as I was still early I got my steps in by walking from the station to Debbie and Trevor’s. A lovely meal out with them and Steph and Doreen and lots of catching up.
