Wonderful winter weather!
A hard frost overnight ensured the formation of frost flowers, in the extra, first I’ve seen this winter, because the really cold nights have had snow cover , so the twigs cannot be seen and the phenomenon does not occur. They were in a frost pocket on the lowland walk at Creag Meagaidh, but the views up towards the summit were beautiful. The woodland was full of Bullfinches and Chaffinches and Tits. On the return journey, was pleased to see the goats at Creag Dubh!
