Soup

The usual later start of a Friday on account of Thursday and how seriously I take my responsibility for helping keep the local pub in profit. And there was still a good layer of frost but undaunted, I gloved up. I did take the gloves up a notch to the Windstoppers which, let me tell you, do not, in fact, stop the wind. But never mind. Extended the "long" route a little by taking some of the village back streets.

Sat around for a bit (and maybe nodded off) before deciding that the ham hough in the fridge should be deployed alongside some veg and lentils to bubble away for a few hours in the low oven while I tried to fix the head light on my bike. It doesn't get used much so just a case of cleaning the stupid crimp contacts that it relies on. It's made in such a stupid way that if it's anything more complicated it will more than likely have to go in the bin.
