I bought these Medjool dates recently and it’s been difficult to limit myself to just two a day - they are so tasty! I didn’t realise until after I’d got them home that they were from the USA :-(

When we lived in the States many years ago,, we visited the Palm Springs area where there were lots of date farms, and partook of date shakes, which were made from dates (of course), mixed with bananas, ice cream and spices…

A cold easterly wind was blowing here today. I did do some gardening, though it took me a while to warm up. Nice to come in afterwards and light the stove.
