NGUHA Light Up

A beautiful sunny day, all day.  Breezy throughout the day.  Calmer tonight, and clear.

Working on the toon essykert again today, with Philip and John.  Business black bag waste around Lerwick, then paper recycling waste in Sound.  Washed the essykert inside and out to finish the week.  Nipped out this evening.  Walkies with Sammy, then a quiet night home. 

Another weekend, another Up Helly Aa.  This week it's the Nesting and Girlsta UHA.  They've had the perfect day for their day events and visits, and a perfect night for the torch procession.  The light up starts with a marshal lighting a flare, the marshals are usually previous Jarl Squads.  You have your steeped paraffin hessian bag torch, and get a light from the flare.  Some pass the flame on to another squad member, torch to torch.  These lasses all fired up, and ready to start the procession celebrations.  I hope guizer Jarl Scott Johnson and all have a grand party tonight.  Taken outside the South Nesting hall.
