Our Storm Eowyn damaged fence at our other place is now no longer tied together, but permanently repaired! A number of brackets, long screws and longer screws deployed. A neighbour had kindly rumped down a jaggy bush on our ground on the other side of the fence, so I could get in unfettered. That helped, it let me secure from both sides. We’d a chat, his craic is good, they’ve lived here a long time. My wife did a bit of general garden tidying and gave me hand. It was really cold. We got a WhatsApp video call from the wee family; it was a good excuse to go inside in the warmth and finish up for the day.

Earlier, I spoke to the roofer from last week. He completed his job at a nearby house. Unfortunately no time for us today. We’re still in his queue. “Next week”…..
